OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Canterbury subdivision was established in June 1996 with the beginning of Phase I which encompasses the homes On Ashford, Whickham, and the northwestern portion of Canterbury Circle, and including Canterbury Court. Phase II being completed within a few years.

Canterbury is located in the northwest corner of Lakeland, FL, within Polk County. Lakeland has a vibrant downtown that is home to the Frances Langford Promenade circling Lake Mirror. Other prominent lakes include Lake Morton, home to the city's swans; Hollingsworth, with the Lakeland Yacht Club, Florida Southern College, and assorted neighborhoods with cobblestone streets; and Lake Parker, the city's largest lake, along which the Detroit Tigers spring training facility is located.
Lakeland is home to the Fun 'N Sun Fly-In every spring, the Lake Mirror Car show in the fall, and myriad festivals and events that make Lakeland a fun and exciting place to live. Closer to Canterbury we are fortunate to have lots of shopping choices and restaurants on the Highway 98 corridor and easy access to Interstate 4 to the Gulf beaches and either Tampa or Orlando and all the attractions they have to offer, just a short drive away.
